Premiere of Aurora to start the 2019 Season

    Oct 30, 2018

After the success of Mad King Suibhne in 2017, it was only a matter of time before John Coke and Suzanne Lemieux commissioned a second opera from Noah Mosley. Aurora premieres on 21 February with a second performance on 23 February.
With a libretto by Elisabetta Campeti, the opera is based on a Northern Italian Folk Story. Aurora is a Princess who appears to have everything. However, like her late mother, she suffers from a mysterious 'illness of the night'. The opera is the story of her recovery. This is an uplifting work of self and spiritual awakening, featuring King and Princes, a Wild Woman, courtesans, spirits of Nature and full chorus. Aurora is Noah Mosley's first three Act opera and with Aylin Bozok directing, we think you will be enraptured.
