    Where are they now? Latest news of Young Artists who have appeared at Bury Court Opera

    Laurie Ashworth      (concert 2012) is due to make her Wigmore Hall solo debut in February 2014.


    Nicolas Darmanin      (Ramiro – La Cenerentola 2012) is making his solo debut at ROH Covent Garden in Les Vêpres Siciliennes in autumn 2013 and launches his international career in Rosenkavalier with Vlaamse Opera, Antwerp in 2014.


    Andrew Dickinson      (Lensky – Eugene Onegin 2013) is singing Male Chorus (Rape of Lucretia) for Glyndebourne on Tour 2013 and also performs in Glyndebourne’s Billy Budd touring to New York in early 2014.


    Ilona Domnich      (Gilda – Rigoletto 2011 and Tatyana – Eugene Onegin 2013) sang the lead role of Jacqueline in Fortunio (Grange Park Opera) in summer 2013.


    Elizabeth Llewellyn      (concert 2011) has performed leading roles in Figaro and Carmen (ENO), and sung Four Last Songs (Strauss) on BBC3.  She is soon to launch her international career singing Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) and Elsa (Lohengrin) in Germany.


    Laurence Meikle      (Ceprano – Rigoletto 2011) has been taken on as a Young Artist at the Thüringer Opernstudio.


    Eliana Pretorian      (Clorinda – La Cenerentola 2012) is performing Adina (L’Elisir d’Amore) for Glyndebourne on Tour 2013.


    Derek Welton      (Monterone – Rigoletto 2011) now has an international career, with leading roles in Hamburg, Beijing, Lille, Salzburg and Baden Baden.


    Belinda Williams      (Tisbe – La Cenerentola 2012) has joined the Staatstheater Kassel, where she has sung the major roles of Hansel (Hansel and Gretel), Dorabella (Cosi fan Tutte), Dritte Dame (Zauberflote) and Maddalena (Rigoletto).
