Tickets may be purchased in three ways:
On-line via the secure online Box Office system TicketSource - please note there is a booking fee for this service.

By post: Booking Form and cheque

By Direct transfer:  Either email the Box Office - emacnaghten@burycourtopera.org with details of your requirements and we will give you all the necessary bank details etc.

Or: telephone the Box Office between 9.00am and 5.00pm Tuesday - Thursday on 01420 520333.  (At other times, please leave a message.  We always return your calls.)

Timings and Prices:

Please note:  the opera is presented in three Acts of just over an hour each.  There will be two intervals of 15mins. The running time is about 3hrs 45mins 

Thursday 8th March ... 6.30pm  (Cash bar, tea and coffee). Tickets £80.00.    No dining.

Saturday 10th March ... 4.45pm  (Cash bar, tea and coffee).
Tickets  including dinner: £165.00.
Tickets for the opera only: £98.00

Tuesday 13th March ... 4.45pm (Cash bar, tea and coffee)     
Tickets including supper: £110.00. 
Tickets for the opera only £80.00  

Thursday 15th March...4.45pm (Cash bar, tea and coffee).   
Tickets including supper: £110.00
Tickets  for the opera only: £80.00. 

Saturday 17th March ... 4.45pm  (Cash bar, tea and coffee). 
Tickets  including dinner: £165.00. 
Tickets for the opera only: £98.00.  

Doors open 45 minutes before the show starts.
If we are offering dining, this takes place immediately after the opera.

Dress is Black tie on Saturday 10th and 17th March.  Dress is informal (smart casual) on weekday evenings.

The informal suppers on  13th and 15th March are two courses and do not include wine.
The Black Tie dinners on 10th and 17th March are three courses and include wine and coffee.
Catering is by Jacaranda Catering. (See below)

Ticketing Information

All bookings will be confirmed by email and your tickets will be emailed  within three weeks of the performance. Tickets purchased less than two weeks before the performance will be available for you to collect on the night. 

Please note that tickets are non-refundable

Dining Information 2018

Our caterers are the renowned firm : Jacaranda Catering - delicious food, elegantly produced by expert chefs and presented by charming staff: 

Unless otherwise stated, dining takes place after the show in the fully heated and carpeted marquee adjacent to the auditorium. Many people do stay on to dine and always comment on the lovely atmosphere.  You can either request a separate table for your party (four or more)  or we will put you on a larger shared  table.  Apart from enjoying the delicious food and simpatico company it is also a great opportunity to meet the cast, many of whom come into the marquee to greet sponsors and supporters.  Dinner is informal except on Saturday 10 March and Saturday 17 March when dress is black tie and we put on a fabulous three-course  gala dinner, and wine and coffee is included in the price.

We operate a cash bar on all performance nights - but it really is cash only...no cheques or cards.

Sea bass ceviche with tostados, pickled cucumber, shallot, avocado, orange and fennel salad


(V - Roast and pickled beetroot with goat’s cheese and horseradish mousse, compressed apple, watercress and spiced pumpkin seeds)



Cocoa nib crusted pork fillet with a ham hock and leek pie, caramelised cauliflower puree, charred purple sprouting broccoli and mushroom jus

Lemon drizzle sponge with poached rhubarb, vanilla syrup, lemon curd and clotted cream ice cream

Chicken breast stuffed with Thai herbs, sweet potato galette, mange tout & greens with a lime lime and chili butter sauce
